Troubles with Retrospect 6

Hi,
I've got an Xserve G4 running all the latest updates including 10.3.4.
I have an XServer RAID, that is also up to date with the latest
firmware. I'm running Retrospect server 6.193. If I use the Retrospect
Duplicate function to copy a directory from a volume made up of two
drives in the XServe (striped with SoftRAID 3) to an 860 GByte striped
(via hardware in the XServe RAID) array, Retrospect will invariably
freeze somewhere along the way. I've tried this 5 times.
Now, if I try to force quit Retrospect, then the Finder hangs. If I
try to force quit the Finder, the console becomes unresponsive. If I
have terminal running at this point, I can see via ps that the Finder
listing is tagged with an E (meaning the Finder is trying to exit). The
only recourse is to forcibly power down the server and then restart.
I resorted to using ditto to copy the files and everything went just
fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Phil Ershler
