Duplicate disk & file deletion

Hello,
In the hope that some of the developers of the next version of Retrospect
read this mailing list I would like to mention the following.
In some configurations I use Retrospect to duplicate a disk (or multiple
disks) of a server to a remote site. A computer on the remote site runs
Retrospect Client. The remote site's disks should hold a complete mirror
copy of the disks of the server.
This works very well unless something goes wrong during the backup (e.g. the
server is stolen...). Why? Because Retrospects deletes all modified files on
the target disk before duplicating the data, and when the backup is
interrupted many files are missing on the target disk.
Would it be possible to add an option to simply overwrite existing files
instead of deleting them first?
Yes I know an option would be to use multiple target disks and perform two
duplicates but I would prefer the "overwrite existing files" option. I also
realise this would increase disk fragmentation on the target disk but I do
not consider that important.
Thoughts?
Or is this already possible in Retrospect (Mac) and have I missed a setting?
Ernst.
